The prize pool is funded by sponsors and reader support. Exact prizes and values are published in the official rules before the entry period opens. Brands can sponsor a prize.

Official rules (summary)
Eligibility
Open to individuals aged 18+ where such contests are lawful. Void where prohibited or restricted. Employees and contractors of Garden.City and sponsors, and their households, are not eligible.
No purchase necessary
Entry is free. Donations, purchases or sponsorships do not improve your chances of winning.
Your photos
You keep copyright. By entering you grant Garden.City a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display your photos and first name/city on the website, newsletter and social channels in connection with the contest, with credit. Do not submit photos showing identifiable people without their consent.
Judging and voting
A panel scores finalists using the published criteria; the People’s Choice is decided by public vote with fraud checks. Decisions are final.
Prizes
Prizes are non-transferable and have no cash alternative unless stated. Winners may need to confirm eligibility and may be responsible for applicable taxes. Unclaimed prizes after 30 days may be awarded to a runner-up.
